NYCT CONSTRUCTION OF SUBSTATIONS AT CLIFTON AND NEW DORP IN STATEN ISLAND

The NYCT Construction of Substations at Clifton and New Dorp in Staten Island project includes fabricating and installing two pre-engineered power substations at two separate stations, Clifton and New Dorp, within the Staten Island Railroad System (SIRTOA).

  • Scope of Work:

    • Fabricate and install two pre-engineered power substations at two separate stations (Clifton and New Dorp), within the Staten Island Railroad System (SIRTOA)

    • New electrical services for each location, bringing ConEd high-tension and low-tension services to these substations, consisting of new underground electrical duct banks and manholes

    • New positive and negative traction power cables were installed to power the third rail systems  

    • Signal system integration and communication system upgrades
