The NYCT 170th Street Station ADA Project on the Jerome Avenue Line achieved substantial completion earlier this month, ahead of schedule. Congratulations to the Citnalta-TAP Joint Venture team!
The primary work comprised the installation of new elevators at the mezzanine, street and platform levels, along with associated elevator enclosures and machine rooms. The project scope also included the reconstruction of the platform edges and extensive structural steel, concrete, communication, and electrical improvements. Now the station is fully ADA accessible and has ADA-compliant boarding areas, among multiple other enhancements.
