For Super Bowl this year, we filled two sheets, meaning TWO charities received the $500 donation! The final score winners chose Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice of Suffolk County and North Fork Animal Welfare League.
The employee that chose Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice of Suffolk said, "I was happy to donate to such a worthy cause. My mom volunteers in the program. She's healing from surgery at the moment, but she often tells me stories about the wonderful people she's met. I thought donating here was a good choice, and I hope it does some good." The Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk County (VNSHS) is an independent, not-for-profit healthcare agency that serves patients and their families throughout Suffolk County, Long Island, with visiting nurse homes, hospice services, and more.
As for the North Fork Animal Welfare League, that employee adopted his dogs from there and is so grateful that this animal shelter can help find furry friends their forever homes. North Fork Animal Welfare League is a no-kill shelter with two locations on the east end of Long Island in both Southold and Riverhead Townships.
We are looking forward to what next year's picks will be!
